+ More

Istation currently offers three performance scale options for grouping students:

  • Levels (Quintiles)
  • Instructional Tiers
  • RTI+

All three performance scales use nationally normed Istation’s Indicators of Progress (ISIP™) to provide accurate insight and determine whether students are on target to meet end-of-year grade-level expectations. Plus, teachers and administrators get the formative data they need to differentiate instruction. Schools can change scales at any time during the academic year.

Levels

Istation has defined a five-level normative grouping based on indices spaced equally across all performance levels. This is great for grouping students at all levels of performance for focused intervention or general improvement. By using quintiles (levels), educators can further differentiate the ability levels of students in the core instruction.

Istation's intervention levels help teachers determine the intensity of intervention students need during small group work.

Intervention Tiers

Consistent with other reading assessments, Istation has defined a three-tier normative grouping based on indices associated with the 20th and 40th percentiles.

Istation's intervention tiers help teachers determine the intensity of intervention students need during small group work.

Students who are classified as Tier 2 across all subtests should be considered to have comprehensive reading difficulties and should receive Tier 3 instruction.

RTI+

Istation has defined a three-tier normative grouping based on indices associated with the 25th and 49th percentiles. In order to accommodate a state, district, or campus’ strategic needs, an extended tier range is an option to help coordinate with the RtI instructional efforts of a campus.

Istation's modified intervention tiers help teachers determine the intensity of intervention students need during small group work.
