Demographic importing is used to import student demographic information to existing student accounts.

footstepsStep-by-Step Guides

Purpose of demographic data

  • Viewing assessment data from Istation allows you to make a plan for each student and classroom. This plan can include intervention to improve academic achievement for the student’s overall success.
  • When you add the variable of demographic data, you can make predictions about data. These predictions can further narrow the plan's scope since there can be causal implications for higher gains.
  • Here are some examples of viewing student data by demographic group:
    • the ability to compare special education to general education population data
    • the ability to compare native English speakers to non-native English speakers
